I feel so bad about canceling the show, I feel like I need to share with you guys a little bit more. Minutes after this picture was taken, I nearly ch0k3d to d3ath on the streets of Manhattan. I was eating this kabob (which was insanely delicious) and the meat that I swallowed got stuck in my throat. This is something that I have been dealing with since I was little. If I don't chew a piece of food enough or if I try to eat too quickly, I end up ch0king on it. Usually, I can get to a restroom and manually clear my airway, but where I was, a restroom was not available. I tried to do it near a garbage can, but it just wasn't coming out. I finally found a restaurant that allowed me to use their restroom and with great effort, I was able to clear my airway and start breathing normally again. A few months ago, I finally got an appointment for an endoscopy to see what the problem is. They said my esophagus was so c0n-stricted that they couldn't even get a camera down there. So, they scheduled me for another procedure where they were going to dilate my esophagus so they could see what is going on. They told me it would be a non-invasive procedure and the recovery would be fast. They were wrong. This morning they discovered TWO strictures in my throat (that I have had my whole life) and after dilating both of them, they then did a bi0psy on the cells in there to look for any other abnormalities. The multiple dilations and the scrapings of the bi0psy (not to mention being completely looped out on an3sth3sia) have left me unable to speak and a little loopy (it's taking me forever to type this). The upside, they are hopeful that this procedure will make it so I can eat food normally and not have to worry about ch0-king in front of people ever again. The downside, a couple days of discomfort when I talk and eat. I'm looking at the upside. I rarely share this level of personal information, but I felt I owed it to those of you who were ready for the live show tonight. So was I.
