It began with a letter she wrote to me which is probably the most special physical belonging I own. I also have a lightning bolt on my hip, it is red to represent my bloodline and has three points instead of two to represent the three members of my immediate family. I got a lightning bolt because I wanted something that represented power and the fact that I am strong and powerful on my own without a boy (post-breakup tattoo).. but that I am really never alone, I will always have my family. They're both strategically placed so they're not visible to other people, even if I am in a bikini they're both hidden. They also sit under where my arm rests by my side, they're just for me.. not for show.
