Happy third sunday of advent! Christmas is near, and Cherry visited the studio to perform her favorite christmas song ‘Santa Baby’, as you can hear in the next pose. She might not be as great a singer as she thinks she is, but show her love by tips! She’s an expensive woman to impress, but she is also very sweet, so even little tips will make her very happy. Though she’s the true character of this satirical hit song portraying a character who uses her charm and seductive voice to appeal to Santa Claus, asking for material possessions instead of focusing on the true meaning of Christmas. But hey, just like me, we love money A LOT! Can you blame us? Like many others Cherry thinks that the songs was performed by her blonde number one idol Marilyn Monroe, though it was the black singer and actress Eartha Kitt, who was ahead of her time when it came to sex positivity during the ’50s and ’60s, embracing ‘her persona as a gold-digger who renders men into helpless little boys with her sexual power, and rose from poverty to fame in a very racist America, (which increased the scandalous by being black (Respect Kitt!)) singing what showed to be the least loved Christmas song, perhaps because studies show money to be one of the most uncomfortable topics for Americans to talk about, and a “Sugar Babe”-song, which still scandalizes almost 70 years later.
