Added 2023-07-22 03:08:28 +0000 UTCOkay guys, ready ? Things wrong with my van that i know of so far: Radiator was empty, lower hose leak and possible water pump malfunction. Radiator is extremely rusted internally. Both idler arms and right side ball joints need replaced. Steering gearbox leaking. Brake fluid black. Transmission shift selector, output shaft, trans pan output shaft all leaking trans fluid. Upper control arm bushings bad. All 4 shocks have bad bushings. Rear pinion seal leaking. Engine oil is overfull. This list is copied almost exactly from the mechanics today, i still want to fix it, i think. I would like opinions on whether it would be worth it long term & education wise to go thru and fix everything as i can, or cut my losses and try and sell to at least break even. I've been told it has a good engine, but idk, it runs and drives, i like it, i can spend the money over time to get things fixed .. i just bought new tires for it, I plan to prioritize the radiator & trans leaks first, if that would be a good idea ... Just looking for insight so if you know cars and have a comment or message please do lol It's a 1990 Chevy Astro for reference.
