The alternator went out on one of our vehicles on the way to school today! We were stranded a few blocks from one school with the puppy on no leash and me in flip flops and shorts. Luckily a kick ass neighborhood mom I know was on her way back from dropping her wildlings off as well and when I called her for help she came and saved the day! Got us to school safe and sound. And actually on time. And all this makes me remember: I couldn’t be a decent dad at all without the help of the other parents around me. That’s for sure. So I salute the moms and dads who support the village they’re a part of. And you don’t even have to have kids. I’m talking also about the nannies and babysitters as well. You’re the grease that keeps the wheels on the bus moving forward. I appreciate you all.
