He was excited every year when the tree went up and somehow knew which presents were his, opening only those. He sat supervising (and judging) as we put up the tree last night, but still looking quite pleased. Watching him tear into his gifts has been one of my favorite parts of Christmas morning for over a decade. All dogs are special but Munch was something extra special. He was my 3lbs of pure fury who loved nothing more than traveling and biting housekeepers. I'm so glad he waited for me to get back here because tonight while everyone else was asleep, I held my tiniest (but hugest) bestfriend in my arms by the light of the Christmas tree as he took his last breath. I'm sure I will see him again. He'd have it no other way. Detective Munch 6/6/06---12/15/19
