Does **bodycount** matter when looking for a potential partner? I honestly don't think it does. All my good friends are sloots or reformed sloots and we openly talk about experiences from our 20s, fucking around, fucking up, learning, laughing. They're now some of the most loyal partners and best parents I know. Mine's around 15, incl non penetrative sex. I think this is a relatively low number for someone in their mid 30s. But whether you've fucked 5 or 500 people, it really doesn't matter in the end. Just look at the Romans. They were more than happy to engage in promiscuous, gay sex. It was a normal part of life...not much of a choice though 😅 noone else around when 1000s of miles away from home at the battlefront, gotta grab the nearest 🍑 We've definitely regressed as a society, & I think the concept of monogamy will eventually need revisiting or redefining. It's a more recent thing right? Rooted in Christianity/religion? Also, as someone who has had a baby...I'm ready to go back to the tribe/village helping raise my kid. Cos the nuclear family setup is hard work!! Just ask any parent, finding alternative care for your ch1ld is one of the biggest challenges you'll ever face. It is a juggle balancing work and home life. I was listening to a podcast last year, it had this famous dating coach (not really my thing but this dude knows his shit when it comes to sex and relationships) and he was saying how he **doesn't** think longevity in relationships is a measure of success. Because often, it's people that should have gotten out years ago but stayed for the kids, finances, security blanket, XYZ reasons. And it really made me think about all the couples I know that might have stayed in miserable relationships for decades and decades. Don't get me wrong, I think milestones should be Celebrated. But his point was that someone having the courage to leave a relationship that no longer served them Is also cause for celebration and admiration. Moreso than staying in one.
