This treats my ADHD and my Narcolepsy at the same time. I am not supposed to take any before my surgery as it isn’t recommended but I really was curious on how well this medication worked so I took only one pill and oh my gosh. I was wide awake and focused and my trembling in my hands stopped. I’ve tried aderal once in the past and I honestly felt that aderal calms me down more where as Ritalin hits me with more speed than I would like to have. It’s a strong medication though. Strattera was absolutely horrible when that was prescribed to me. I took it once and flushed the rest because it made me feel like I was going to have a heart attack. But the Ritalin works well and doesn’t leave me feeling that way. Imagine the “ugh I don’t want to do chores today” type of feeling. You take one Ritalin and it’s like “I absolutely feel like being productive!” It really removes that sluggish feeling for me and helps me stay awake so I don’t have to intake so much caffeine.
