





🍁 **THANKFUL - DISTRACTIONS**🍁 Yes, distractions . They don’t have to be a negative. Best laid plans and all that . Meticulous planning has its benefits and Drew is all about lists and scheduling . I think he can pin point when something happened or what needs to get done three Tuesdays from now at 10am with great accuracy but there’s something to be said about sweeping the top of the desk with your arm and letting things fly. I consider myself to be pretty organized and even if some things will get completed by the skin of its teeth it will get done . But life isn’t always about moving from point A to B to C . Sometimes it’s important to start at B then skip to D and circle back to A. Taking breaks and enjoying things outside of work and your personal bubble and safe zone is important Maybe it’s settling in to binge watch a new television show instead of making dinner and ordering take out later? Or it could be turning off the computer and heading outside for a 5 mile hike? Skipping work and playing hookie at the beach ? Cutting OF marketing short to see the latest 3 hour Marvel movie . Having a few drinks with your husband/ wife . It doesn’t matter what you do , as long as you do something . Relieve yourself of schedules and deadline . Relieve yourself of stress and anxiety . Embrace positive distractions and let your mind and your heart enjoy the moment . So I’m thankful that I have learned to embrace that moment and allow myself to not be so rigid and that I have a partner in Drew that also knows when to push aside what needs to be done without judgment .
