The movies like to portray white picket fences as the symbol for the perfect suburban life. This imagery has led to what some refer to as the “White Picket Syndrome,” in which people cling to the idea of a perfect lifestyle despite its inability to ever really exist. I personally have rebelled against what society has told me is required to be happy. I run towards the unknown, I've never wanted mini versions of myself, and I believe experiences make you far more wealthy than fancy cars and houses that end up owning you. I choose to be free, rather than in a prison of the American dream. I have my own dream, of traveling and collecting experiences and not things, and you all are helping me get closer to achieving that dream, and I thank you for that!!! ... Just a little about me, no judgements for those that choose that life, but I wouldn't be writing this to you if I had given in to what society expected of me. I dare you to do something new today!
