By now most of you have read about the news that OnlyFans will no longer allow "sexually explicit conduct" to be posted starting this October, while "nudity" will still be allowed; no clear definitions of these terms are available at this point. You might wonder what this means for me as a creator who regularly posts sexually explicit conduct here (i.e. masturbation videos, mostly. Things like my pussy/butthole closeups, my blowjob videos might all fit into OF's definition of "sexually explicit conduct"). I'll use this opportunity to remind you guys that my sex work home on the internet has been Myfreecams dot com since 2011, and will continue to be it. I live with people who don't know I'm a camgirl, so since the pandemic with everyone staying home, I've been able to cam a LOT less than I did from 2011 to 2019. I started OnlyFans in late 2019 and it has been my de facto main source of income since then. However it was originally intended as a side income next to MFC, and my earnings here on OF almost never reach beyond "side income level". I'm lucky to only have low recurring monthly costs, as I wouldn't be able to live off of my OF income in my city if I lived alone; I have always made *much* less money on OF for the same amount of hours of work than I make on MFC when I'm online there (also, interacting in real time with you guys i.e. camming is much MUCH more enjoyable for me than posting pics and videos of myself but that's only a side note). All this to say, MFC is what I consider my main income, even when it's temporarily not; I hope this makes sense somehow... When I get my own place after graduating I'll be able to cam regularly again. This will coincide with OF making the change towards non-explicit content, which will cut down on my OF income further. You will always be able to find my explicit videos on MFC, for as long as I'm on that site, that is; and I have no intentions to leave it anytime soon. Of course I'll have to think long and hard about staying on OF on the other hand if it turns out I'll lose like half of my already low OF income due to not being allowed to post anymore explicit content. If you care about sexually explicit creators who are *only* on OF and are rightfully concerned or scared because of these changes (i.e. not me!), don't hesitate to remind them (when they're in the mood to listen) that OF is NOT the end-all be-all of online porn. There are clip sites and cam sites, and subscription based sites (alternatives to OF) are slowly taking off and will take off further as a result of this change. There are many former camgirls who have left their camsites and are doing much better on OF, but I'm proof that the opposite exists. I do much better in camming than in posting content for several different reasons that would demolish the scope of this post which is already too long. I'd encourage everyone not to forget that despite OF being a household name now, other content sites and live cam sites which actually allow us to be explicit internet hoes and gave a good time and actually post porn and not just ~artful nudes~, have existed and have provided incomes for MUCH longer than OF has. Credit card companies won't make *all* sites cave in the way they're making OF cave in.
