I was riding in the bike lane and about to go through a green light when the truck to my left turned right right in front of me and I T-boned him. (Ran into the side of his truck). In case you don’t know when driving by a bike lane you have to look for bikes before you turn. I was okay. Just some gashes, scratches, and bruises. But my front wheel was bent bad. Everyone in the store fronts ran out to help me out of the road and make sure the guy didn’t drive off. The guy acted very sorry. He said he would pay to fix my bike. Said he just lived down the road right by my friends house. So I asked him if he could put my bike in the back of his truck and take me to my friends house a block away. He apologized over and over again and said he would pay to fix my bike. I got the invoice from the bike shop and sent it to him and now he’s not answering me back. I have his name, phone number, address and license plate. I also have witnesses. But am just hoping he does answer back and help me fix it instead of running like he said he wouldn’t do. It’s $228! My bike is my favorite thing so I really hope he gets back to me, but I’m not holding my breath. Anywho now ya know. ALWAYS LOOK IN THE BIKE LANE BEFORE TURNING. Thanks for reading. 😘
