I want to take a second and introduce myself for the people who haven't gotten the time to get to know me.
Hey there my name is Reese, I am a 37 yr old divorced mama to 4. I am from Wisconsin but have lived in NYC for about 15 years now. Im a lover of cats :) An avid reader, a fierce mama bear, a spicy Italian, and someone who is always direct and forward. I always try and see my cup as half full and truly enjoy each and every one of you!
Last night as a mom, I had a parenting hiccup. (I guess thats what you can call it?) My job is to protect the privacy of myself and the littles at all times so bare with me as I try and be my raw authentic self but also protect my peace. One of my littles who has struggled with hormones and the woes of girls etc. has battled with a dark place. It is something I advocate for him on a daily basis as well as have him in every and anything I can to help the process of becoming a better person. I spent last night with plenty police officers as well as the remainder in the emergency room with him. I have come up on some tough obstacles but I know I can overcome anything when it comes to the challenges us parents face.
Please do not take this as a sob story, it is absolutely not. It is just real life and something people don't often talk about because we feel like we have failed somewhere. We have not failed, there are no rule books when it comes to being a parent and I refuse to fail.
I am asking all my friends near and far to help me with a hand up in a really hard time right now.
