In our society, we often have to make compromises in our relationships. Not everyone is going to believe as we do, and in the US more than anywhere else, many people have VERY strong, inflexible beliefs about things. To a cult-like level.
I happily accept friendships from those with different beliefs. But there is something unique and special about connecting with those who see the world in a similar way.
Seek out those people. They make us feel less alone. 💕
