๐ธ Hey there, Fellas ๐ธ
Today we are talking about Yukio Mishima, famous Japanese author, poet and "the last samurai"
Mishima is considered one of the most important Japanese authors of the 20th century. He was considered for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1968, but the award went to his countryman and benefactor Yasunari Kawabata.
Mishima's work is characterized by "its luxurious vocabulary and decadent metaphors, its fusion of traditional Japanese and modern Western literary styles, and its obsessive assertions of the unity of beauty, eroticism and honor.
My photos not really matching with his story, but when I was thinking about "what Important i can tell you about Japan in the post?"
I was having only one thought โ Mishima.
If you're have time to dive deep into japanese literature I can recommend start with Mishima and his Runaway Horses.
It tells the story of small boy Isao Iinuma, a rightist reactionary trained in the samurai code by his father. Isao becomes the instigator of a plot to topple the zaibatsu that he feels have corrupted the Yamato-damashii and betrayed the will of the Emperor. He is assured of the army's assistance by the Lieutenant Hori. They plan to liquidate many key government figures simultaneously on December 3, 1932.
And yep, I will end it on positive vibe, so here is a couple smiles, pick up the better one and do not forget to open my post!!
