Good and bad news
I got a call from the doctor who read my MRI, and I am waiting on a second opinion tomorrow from my pain management doctor to make sure things are true/false/etc.
The good news is, I do NOT have any injury serious enough to operate on! I have a couple lightly herniated discs but nothing extreme or dangerous whatsoever!
The bad news is, I was told I have one of the most severe cases of arthritis they’ve ever seen at my age, which is permanently going to hurt me and will only get worse.
I was told I will most likely need to start a higher level pain medication (next step up is op*oids) and I am honestly so in shock that I’m gonna need a bit to process this.
I am seeing my pain management doctor tomorrow to go over the MRI again and get a second opinion before anything happens or starts. I need to make sure this is even real and not misread or misinterpreted in any way!
Please continue to be patient with me through this and keep me in your thoughts. I have an appointment at 7:30am for another judgment.
