The lonely unicorn from the first book gets his own. I was impressed by the references to “the last unicorn” in this little tale. It’s not as steamy as I was hoping for it to be but the story is captivating with its depth and layers that makes it easy to digest in a single read.
The female lead in this series is a total bitch and not in a good way. She’s heartbroken, jaded, and is tired of feeling abandoned which had me feeling pretty sorry for our male lead at times.
Our unicorn was looking for love in all the wrong places until going to the human world. It’s love at first sight for him. He knows he needs her but how does he convince HER That she needs HIM? A sweet and devoted male who I personally thought deserved a better female heroine to devote his heart to.
This book is on the bottom of my list in comparison to other books from this series. It should’ve been one read for me but I just kept shelving it because of the FL and her constant complaining. It was rough and while the ending was good, I still wanted and expected better.
