This is the 2nd book to scorpions mate and takes place right after, continuing the world building off the second book and doing better at it. This book has enough suspense that I didn’t find it predictable, the level of character development has increased from the last book and the characters themselves changed by the end of the book, there’s consent between the characters and a clear distinction of boundaries set in place, and I love that the book had a happy ending despite the action and drama! A good read that actually even had me picking up the 3rd book right after to continue the smutty space exploration!!
