I’m not sure how to describe this one but it’s a darker read with experimentation, capturing, and escaping. It’s a slow burn monster romance book. There’s a lot of character development and world building that I enjoy but I find there’s a lack of steam for me personally. Still a good read. Insect people isn’t my cup of tea but I gave it a try since scorpions are close to spiders and I did enjoy the ensnared series. I wouldn’t put these two books on the same level though.
Ensnared is S tier and this Scorpion book is B for world building but C tier for spice.
