BTS: Lady of the Night - Good afternoon all, while you wait for more content, I thought I’d let you in on some details of the whole set up process which was spread out over MULTIPLE DAYS. Read if you’d like! It’s not spicy but I really like going into the work behind all this! 🥰 (remember to tip if you can ❤️) Day 1: SET UP - creating the set was honestly the most fun part. I started out with just the backdrop and some curtain decor but the only problem was that unless I stood right up against the backdrop, you’d be able to see the my weeb wall. This bothered me personally because I wouldn’t be able to do a lot of angles I wanted so I got really crafty and spent 2 more hours setting up the “ceiling” to my set. It turned out far better than I could have imagined! How it ended… was everything falling apart… but it at least lasted me through the shoot! Day 2: THE PHOTOSHOOT - For once, EVERYTHING went the way I planned. I got into makeup and dress, took over 100 photos, made 3 videos (cuz I kicked the camera near the end of one of them 😭 so it got split) and even had a little time at the end to make one tiktok! By the way, I did all this after an 8 hour work day and still had to get up for work the next day! 🤣 it freed up my weekend though. I was very happy with the results but I was sad I didn’t get as many nudes as I thought I did… thank goodness for those videos! 😉 Day 3 (and kinda 4): PHOTO EDITING - OH GOD… it’s the worst part of it… and me being a total genius 🤪 decided this would be the best time to switch editing platforms… lol I really wanted to salvage what quality I could because I waS (and am) really proud of this set. So I struggled my way through the new system but then midway through editing half my photos… I decided I didn’t like the style… so I had to START OVER (cuz my perfectionist side took over) and did it in a different style… but OVER ALL THAT! I neglected to realize the different red hues that changed even when the lights or the camera remained unmoved. I noticed this during one of videos I’m editing and I realized that it wasn’t necessarily MOVING the camera that was making the problem but rather just what different hues the camera itself would pick up and where it would focus on. So then I had to struggle to make the colors match as best as possible… So when I say I worked really hard on this… I worked REALLY hard on this and I am SO PROUD! I just really hope you guys like it as much as I do. And even if you don’t, I at least hope you appreciate the work behind it. ❤️ and as crazy as this all is, I really enjoy every bit of it now seeing the results. I did every bit of this on my own and to me, it makes this my best work yet. Anyway, hope you all have saved some space in that bucket of yours for more treats coming your way.
