Bella had been planning this day for some time. Now that it was here she could not contain her excitement. She had to bite her lip to keep from smiling too much so that Chuck wouldn’t get suspicious. It was Chuck’s birthday weekend and if everything went off as planned, he’d be fantasizing about it for a long time to come.
Bella had planned the typical vanilla birthday party for Chuck later in the weekend as a cover. Chuck had no idea he was going to see part of his REAL present tonight. As far as he knew, it was a regular night out…dinner & a show. Bella had taken care of all the planning, as she generally did. Chuck was always happy to be surprised by whatever she had chosen.
They had a lovely dinner at one of Chuck’s favorite restaurants. Afterward, as they approached the theater, Chuck got his first view of the marquee: Burlesque. They had talked previously about how much they’d both love to check out a burlesque show, so Chuck was immediately energized and excited to see what it was all about. He looked at Bella and said, ‘Well happy birthday weekend to me!’
