We had gotten married you-ng for all the wrong reasons...I was pregnant and our parents insisted we get married after I declined the proposal. We just weren't a good match...at all. We used condoms AND I was on the pill, but I was a fertile Myrtle just like my mom had been before me. True story.
I've changed A LOT since then. I make my own decisions - sure, I'll take the thoughts and opinions of others into consideration and I'm all about challenging and evaluating myself, but ultimately I'm going to choose what I believe is right for me and my family even if it displeases someone else. And over the past 20 years, I've learned not to feel a bit guilty about it.
I have no regrets - without those experiences I wouldn't have been inspired to do the internal work needed to be myself instead of what other people wanted me to be. I wouldn't be with my husband. I wouldn't have my kiddos. I wouldn't be exploring the lifestyle with the person I trust most in the world.
