Right now, I’m in a situation where I need to know two completely different languages. I never thought my life would turn out this way. But hey, you never know what life will throw at you next.
I don’t speak the language of the country I live in now. It’s pretty funny when you’re trying to speak three languages at the same time just to buy something at the store.
I thought I knew English—at least at a basic level. It was enough for everyday conversations with you. But turns out, nope! Because someone (me) didn’t pay much attention to the travel-related topics, thinking they wouldn’t be useful.
So, my plan for this year? Refresh my English and learn another language. (No, I won’t say which one 🤡).
It’s hilarious how I stand in bookstores thinking, “Too bad I can’t read.” The books here are so beautiful—I’d totally buy some, haha.
