Added 2022-06-06 22:05:05 +0000 UTCDay 1 We had a crazy busy day. So we woke up at 6ish, had pastries, got ourselves ready. (Thankfully the car was already loaded yesterday evening). Picked mummy up, then headed to the boat. We arrived at 8.55. “Hello, we’re a bit early for our 10 o clock boat. Is that ok?” “Would you like to get on the 9 o clock boat?” “Oh yes please” *drives straight onto the boat* “hooray we get an extra hour on the island” Get our cooked breakfast. Head to Cowes seafront pool park but that was too windy and just wasn’t quite getting the good vibes today. Quickly Google’s attractions near by, and we head to the Butterfly Garden. Here, we had a walk around with butterflies, and met and handled animals including tortoises, tarantula and giant African millipedes. We then fed Koi with baby bottles on a stick? Very bizarre scenario but there we go. After this, we headed to Sandown. We had a splash in the sea and built some sand castles. Then we headed to our holiday park, played in the play area, had some ice lollies. I bought some new IOW fridge magnets. We got into our holiday home, unpacked, got changed and went swimming in the pool. (This was lovely, had a slide and music playing and the water was clean and warm!) Phew! We came back, showered, got dressed into our fancy clothes and went down to the clubhouse. Had dinner. I had a beetroot and quinoa burger which was delicious. The kids got slush puppies and ice creams and played, danced and crafted with the crew! At 9pm, (when the bingo starts), I called it a night, as I didn’t sleep very well last night as I was terrified of missing my alarm - is it even the night before holiday if you sleep well? lol. And we’re all tucked up in bed ready for another adventure tomorrow. 😁😁❤️❤️
