While I do my makeup, she took care of adjusting the wheelchair, making sure everything was set up so I’d be comfortable. "Don’t worry, I’ll help you throughout the trip," she said with a reassuring smile.
The trip went well, and although I sometimes used the wheelchair on my own, Daniela was always nearby, making sure I was okay. On the way back home, we reached the building, and I felt a bit more relaxed, thinking I was almost done for the day.
However, when we were going down a ramp into the building, something went wrong. The wheelchair started sliding too fast, and before I knew it, I fell to the ground. The impact was strong, and the pain hit me instantly, sending a chill through my body. Daniela, "don’t move! I’m calling an ambulance," she said in a firm but worried voice.
Within minutes, the ambulance arrived.
