Alright so some of you may or may not know that this week has been very stressful for me! I had to go to the hospital for a biopsy as I am at risk for cervical cancer. A common cause is HPV but as I have never been positive and I’ve had the vaccine my doctor and I have been working together to see what we can do to reverse my cervical displasia (fancy way of saying abnormal cells on the cervi*) with out the need of tradition treatments. They think I will need the LEEP procedure which is basically a laser that removes a layer of your cervi*. I don’t want to do that till I have exhausted every other possible non invasive options. So to start I wanted to get my IUD out! Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal but with covid19 there are no doctors willing to remove it as it is listed as a elective procedure. So I have been in a grumpy mood lately as everything feels like it is out of my control, even the care of my own body.
What I AM doing that is in my control is I am on a crazy amount of supplements provided by my doctor, eating a clean diet (as much as possible in quarantine), and exercising daily.
I know that there are many other people that must be feeling the same stress and anxiety about their own health right now as so many people are turned away for “elective procedures”.
