sappiness ahead alert ā ļø got the last of the nude thank yous sent out - but hereās a semi-clothed one too in my sweater: thank you guys for your wild enthusiasm in a hypershort one day campaign. your tips (and moreā¦haha) went directly into the pockets of everyone from septuagenarian craftsmen to new farmers, and people of every description who are putting their backs into making something by hand. it felt like christmas morning telling you all what you got me and why i love it, and i have a whole new collection of treasures and tasty goods that iām mentally happily curled up on top like a dragon on a hoard. but more importantly, you let me put my money where my mouth is and say how wonderful i think it is to make things by hand and share them with your neighbours, to learn crafts threatened into extinction by same-day-shipping and mass production, to grow food and feed those around you, and to put whatever beauty and nourishment into this world you can.
