Added 2023-08-12 17:09:10 +0000 UTCRise and shine! I'm not always a morning person (definitely not today!) but chicory, behind me, is the definition of a morning flower! If you sleep in past noon, you'll never see these blooms: they open only from sunrise until midday - sometimes closing even earlier when it's extra toasty and sunny out. In a lot of places, they're considered a weed, but I've only got one small bush (heheh) so I'm happy to let it do its thing, especially because blue is such a rare and gorgeous colour in flowers! Also have to keep it around in case of apocalypse — the roots can be used as a coffee substitute and I definitely wouldn't survive without my coffee 😅☕hope you like the boobs n botany alike; have a wonderful saturday!
