Intimacy
Sex is innately intimate. We enter into the closest physical space we can have with someone and that by default impacts our minds. It threatens our safety and security. It demands trust of the other you share that space with.
Many people choose to maintain emotional distance during sex. Some people require emotional closeness. But we do this all in the name of psychological safety. To keep ourselves feeling secure.
So I ask you... What is it that you enjoy sexually? What about that gives you a sense of safety and security? What are you keeping close to you and why?
