I’m sick as a dog right now :( I have the Flu 💔 but I have to be better by Wednesday because I’m doing a spot on Casey Rocket’s show in Chicago at a SOLD OUT Zanies!!! This a big show for me :) it’s a honor he’s having me. So, I’m sleeping all day today & tomorrow, I’ll be better. I’m already feeeling better than yesterday.
So, since I’m in my “new material era” and I’m going to be posting less jokes on instagram so I can really build a up a strong 20 minutes that people haven’t heard before. I have a ton of jokes that aren’t out there but it’s a matter of making them better & also working on finding my voice on stage. They say years 2-6 of comedy is when you “find your voice.” I’m 2 years and 2 months in, I feel like I’m going through standup puberty lollll.
This video is unedited, raw footage of a 10 minute set I did at the end of January. It has some of the same jokes as my OF “mini special” and some different ones. In my honest opinion, I liked this set & show more than the OF one. Smaller room, can hear the laughs wayyyy better than the OF taping. I’m sharing this because as a nerd of standup, I think it’s interesting to see how each show is different and the vibes can vary greatly. Same joke that kills in one room can bomb in the next. It really is an energy exchange. It’s 50% having funny jokes and 50% connecting with the room. I’m just happy you guys are supporting my journey ✨✨
