Added 2022-08-11 22:36:17 +0000 UTCFun little throwback to when I was featured in LA Weekly for go-go dancing at a club near my apartment. This was when I was still brand new to the industry and to living in LA and as someone who had, just one year previously, been a Reference Librarian and Library Director. It felt so fancy! I was paid in drink tickets and some tips, which as someone who had recently exited a job that required a Master's Degree and paid like 40% less than any other Master's Degree careers.... hot damn. It built my confidence and gave me a chance to learn how to immerse myself into a role and explore my own artistic and performance skills. Anyway, I miss every piece of that outfit, I don't know where ANY of it went at this point. This was like 12 years ago, so. So it goes.
