Some of you might have noticed my absence this past month, but you might not have. Either way, I feel like it's important for me to explain, at least a bit, what's been gong on. This isn't just an explanation, though, but a lesson as well. About a month ago, I had a really bad scene. Like. A near catastrophic scene. I was manipulated into doing things I didn't want to do out of a desire to please my partner and being too deep in subspace to resist, I was physically hurt, I was left completely without aftercare and was kicked out, and found out afterwards that my partner had lied about being sober and was under the influence of hard drugs. The past few weeks have been spent in therapy in an attempt to repair my relationship with intimacy, sexuality, and my own body. This is not a fast process. I want to start posting pictures again, but I need you to be patient with me. I may get overwhelmed and disappear, I may ignore messages for seemingly no reason, and I might not be my usual chipper self. I hope you understand. So there's the explanation. What I haven't covered, however, is the lesson, or lessons, as the case may be. As a dominant, it is your responsibility to care for your sub. To make sure they don't push themselves too far past their limits in a scene out of a desire to please or an inability to sense what is too much. To negotiate beforehand, when they are clear headed. To be clear headed and sober yourself. To TAKE CARE OF THEM. Compassion is as vital in BDSM as in any other area of life, if not more so.
