Could I plant in your mind the animated version of this image? My fingertips brush down my hips to pick up the chiming skirt, then sweep in a curve towards my mons and lower belly, revealing the soft skin of my lowest belly. Words feel so imprecise!

I feel as if the light penetrates through me - just see that light on my further thigh. It's as if I am translucent (a bottle made of glass polished matte by the sea). Well, I suppose bodies are translucent to some extent?

For me, this is a wonderful stretch of the hip flexors (of the further leg). I find it satisfying to feel the weight of my leg, how the weight of my leg connects to and pulls on my pelvis.

A ray of light can be an arrow of attention. (I am often self-conscious of the size of my breasts and how flat my chest can be; I often envy the innate eroticism of fuller breasts. At the same time, I am self-conscious about the possibility that I am also perpetuating other standards of body beauty, supported by lighting, which other bodies may be judged against.)

Some feet are made to point. Mine are not. I often wish they had a more suitable structure for that popular ballet pointe image, but I try not to. I take iron and magnesium supplements so my feet don't cramp up whenever I point my toes.
