Good morning my sweet people! On the eve of Valentine's Day, I thought I'd ask you: do you like or even care about Valentine's Day? If I'm being honest, I've never really been into it. I'm much more of a quiet Tuesday date night kind of girl, eating pizza and watching a movie, than grand proclamations of love, and a trail of rose petals leading to a heart shaped tub. I really didn't like Valentine's Day in school - I was not popular (a shocker, I'm sure 😅) - and it felt like the ultimate popularity contest. It also doesn't help that I'm not into flowers (get me a houseplant instead!!) and I'm not particularity romantic.
With all that said, this is by far the most excited I've been for Valentine's Day in recent memory. With all the sun today, I'm already getting excited for spring and being able to plant my vegetable garden!! I know some of you have green thumbs, but is anyone else looking forward to growing all sorts of things once the weather warms up? Last year, my tomatoes did quite well, and I grew sooooo much basil. This year, I'm hoping to grow a whole bunch of pumpkins. I'm also looking forward to taking some pictures in the garden when it starts to warm up 😋

I get the theory - farthest from the weekend after Monday and everything - and I don't necessarily disagree, but in some ways, I think Sunday is worse. I've never enjoyed Sundays cause IT'S GONNA BE MONDAY REAL SOON!!! That impending doom and anxiety has never worked for me, whereas at least Tuesday is just Tuesday. You're into the week at that point and there are no surprises.

Do you guys have anything that you do to make it through the work week? For me, I treat myself to at least one coffee a day (I make nice coffee at home, and I buy the silliest white girl drinks when I'm at work lol), I usually read on my breaks, and I spend all day thinking about what's for dinner. tonight, I'm taking the leftover carnitas, guacamole and salsa from the weekend, and making nachos!!! 🤤
