It isn’t about the ribbons. It’s about the trust, the connection, the confidence, the partnership, the growth, and most importantly, the love. 💜
The ribbons are pretty and they prove we work together well enough to earn them in a public arena, but they don’t show the way O approaches me in the pasture, how he positions himself for back scratches, the hours we spend training together at home, the patience he has with learning new things, and the countless challenges we have both had to face from our past experiences.
O is my diamond in the rough, the rare anomaly of an OTTB who prefers to be quiet. He needed someone like me to give him a life graced with patience and understanding, but as much as he needed me , I needed him more.
Good boy, O 🥰💜🐎
