Currently I am in London this week. It is a little hard for ..

Currently I am in London this week. It is a little hard for me to be online with less internet and spending time during the day out and about. Thank you for your patience. All my socials like instagram and youtube are free and people do not often see this or the work many of us give just to be here. I am thinking of you all each day wishing I could give more time to you all. Please know I appreciate you all. I hope as I share my writings like this, these little words help you. Next week I am going camping. It is summer holidays for my daughter.

For this week in London I am staying at a friends and her husband's house. There is no room for yoga or handstands. I am sleeping on the sofa in the living room kitchen. For my exercise I have been walking 20kms a day instead of taking the underground. No yoga or handstands. I miss it but I gotta make do. I have been running between 5-12 km a day plus walking and working on line getting up early whilst everyone is sleeping. I share this as people often think it is easy for many to stay fit but we all must adapt and change and work on it.

Life is never perfect or easy. Even on holidays I still have to work as well waking at 5-6am even on holidays to get things done i need to do.

For health and fitness sometimes we have to learn to adapt to our experiences. It is not an all or nothing approach, many try to do this and fail. I believe we do not have to be perfect in our pursuits but if we continue to try and do something, we will always make changes for the better. Life is never straight forward or easy but things are possible if we are willing to adapt and change. Being healthy is not about keeping the perfect diet and fitness routine, it is being able to be flexible in our approach in our mind and body and find the joy in doing it anyway knowing we are trying.

I'm not going to say it is ever easy as many do but I am going to say where there is a will there's a way.

I work really hard to provide content and share my knowledge. I also work hard to build an interaction.

So often I offer up request what you want to see in my online space and only one or two people may respond. There are over 2000 people in this channel, 600,000 on my YouTube and 100,000 on my instagram. Why I share these numbers is to show you how little engagement there is. We complain as humans about how social media isn't very good because of the algorithms but we need to make it good by how we interact, like, follow and message. This shows how little numbers really mean if we do not engage and interact with each other. A number does not mean anything unless it is used with intention. For me I do not make money from these I share here. I do it because I want to help others. However, to help others I need to know what helps you?

My content here and on socials like instagram and YouTube are about giving back. I am a qualified personal trainer, movement coach, yoga teacher and an author. It is a place for me to provide support and help others. My mother always taught me to give and to help those around me. The challenge I find is that I can only do that when you are willing to interact and share too. I can always share my knowledge but I would love to make it more specific to your needs and wishes.

Social media like many say it is, can just be a place of I and all about me, or it can be a WE place. But it can only be a WE place if you all share with me. So I can create content here you want to see. For me I view this as a community of like minded souls that come together to share and grow together. I view it as a place where we all grow and learn. I view it as a place where we have all learned from someone and we are passing the wisdom on to help others. Personally I learn just as much from you all and the people I follow, as what I share in hope that you all learn from me.

My dream is that in this world social media becomes a place of love, nourishment, respect and kindness. A place where not only is there free content but free content that is created together and also appreciated by all. It can be shared to help others and used on a daily basis. It is a place where we can come where we may not be able to afford things but it provides enough information and support to help us until we can. 
When people talk about learning yoga and getting healthy. Of course ideally to get best results we can pay for someone to assist us, but many cannot afford that. I used to be one of those people and sometimes still am and cannot afford people and courses I wish to learn from. So just like my journey began with free youtube flows and information so can everyone else's. The only thing stopping us is our willingness to try. 
Mother Teresa has always inspired me. She said....“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” –
And Leo said - “The purpose of life is not to be happy, but to matter – to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you have lived at all.” – Leo Rosten
I believe many of us have lost our joy because we do not feel like we matter nor do we feel useful. We can create this feeling that we matter and are userful by connection. However not if we do not interact properly online. Likes and comments are great but what if we liked, commented and actually interacted in ways that actually helped us to grow and create things we all could benefit from?
If someone asks us what we need we should try and share it. If we do not get a response that's okay. But what if we did, we won the lottery. They are small stepping stones to help us. I recently commented on a live show about a condition I suffer called Thoracic outlet syndrome. The Physio actually answered and I got a lot of information to help me for free without paying a physio on my recovery. I felt so grateful. Had I not tried and written my comment, I still would be no worse off than before but now I am even better off taking the chance and being lucky enough for a response and information specially given to me by someone I cannot afford to pay for.
Take the chance to interact, create powerful messages & comments and watch this social media grow in nourishment. We can sit here complaining about all that is wrong in the world or on social media. Or we can start using it to help us. Some of my best friends I've made online became best friends because I took the chance to write to them and tell them how much I appreciated them. Now I feel lucky enough to call them friends. If I had only commented or said beautiful, like most I may never have formed such a wonderful friendship.

In this online world we often forget there are also many people providing wonderful teachings and things here to help. We focus so much on what is not helpful. But the truth is it has a lot to do with how we respond and use it. I know also if I cannot provide what you ask, the great thing is I can suggest people that can too. 
In social media we have this culture of putting people on pedestals and when they do one thing wrong we are disappointed in them. We come to one person, and we basically are asking them to give us what once an entire village used to provide: Give me belonging, give me identity, give me continuity, but give me transcendence and mystery and awe all in one. However, we as humans cannot do that and we forget to look at the village of amazing souls in our communities for answers. We have to start remembering that and social media will be so much better. 
Together we can help each other by shining our lights so others can see the way. So let us dig deeper into sharing our growing ourselves online in a more meaningful way. Ask questions, drop people Direct Messages, respond to more then one word and an emoji when you can, answer polls, tell people who ask what you are looking for .... Let us give it a try and see what comes back. Not everything will be answered all given but at least we will have a more nourishing community or sharing with intention and creating with intention.

For me this community is as much about you as it is about me.I work to create a lot of content every month. Some months I feel I cannot keep up to do it. It is a lot of work to have a job, run online platforms, have a family and do day to day life.

However the truth is I am grateful to be doing it all. What makes this space rich for me is your interaction. Your comments, likes and communications. Your messages, your requests and your personal shares. One thing that so often we forget in this world is community is about involvement and we rise by lifting each other up.Just as I am creating for you, you are creating for me with your support.

To be able to create content like this your support allows me to do so by being able to afford to pay for the equipment, work with photographers, educate myself and pay for apps like vimeo I have to use to upload the content. 

My hope is this community continues to nourish each other by sharing and growing together.

Everything is hard in some way. It’s hard to be in the wrong relationship. It’s hard to be in the right one. It’s hard to be broke and miserable, it’s hard to achieve your dreams. It’s hard to be stuck in the middle, not really feeling anything at all. Everything is hard, but you choose your hard. You choose what’s worth it. On the days I struggle mentally my handstands also reflect this.

I started handstands because I wanted a way to remind myself to stand up in my darkest moments.

It all began in Saudi Arabia Jeddah. I lived there for over a year. What an adventure. I started to practice daily just to get the straight line. The struggle was real. It took me a year to really find balance. Now it’s 8 years later and I work towards 1 arms. I never knew the journey of just trying to get a handstand would take me this far.

I'm just a girl standing on a mountain top
I have not got it all figured out. I have no perfection.
I struggle just like everyone else. A number does not mean what the world thinks. It is just a community of like minded souls connecting and sharing. So I say thank you for being here.

I believe in kindness and love and that we rise by lifting others. Sometimes I feel that this world has lost that and become so selfish that too many people think how can everything meet my needs and it is their fault. When really we I feel we should be thinking we are one. Thank you to this person who helped me and how I can help another. It should be about how we can nourish each other in this world, so we can all glow and shine our lights so others can see the way.

The thing that nobody wants to accept is that it takes two to make a relationship work no matter if you are friend, lover, a caregiver, an employee....but it only makes one to break it. So often we forget to look if we are the one. We forget our true responsibility is how we respond to everything.

I believe sexuality and nudity is a big part of a healthy human. Society wants to shadow it and shame it. Sexuality is not just in the bedroom but is part of our everyday life too. It is how we raise our children and have our children, how we make someone feel, how we light up someone's world, how we make a person feel nourished as themselves in their day to day lives, how we feel nourished in ourselves and create self care in our day to day lives.

Nudity goes hand in hand because if we can accept ourselves fully without clothes and see the unity between sexuality and also a body that is a tool for life. Everything becomes much more harmonious and balanced and not just a raging sexual culture.

I hope one day the world will see me not as the assumptions they have but as a human just living, loving, healing, growing and trying to do the best she can, as she hopes to help others along the way. For now I work on seeing myself that way because our opinion of ourselves is the most important as are the words we speak to ourselves.

I hope this world will be able to have more difficult conversations to stir the pot more towards love rather than opposites. We need to balance our masculine and feminine energies. They are yin and yang and we need to remember they are not in competition. Just like two elements Fire and Water are different but in harmony when working together so is the male and female energies.

For now as I finish writing this little piece, I leave you with my biggest hope. That is one day I hope you feel more love then you ever have and you know you are enough just as you are somewhere along your life's journey. And I hope in some way my shares and me being on this earth I can be a part of making your worlds and others a better place. Or at least leave footprints in the sand for better tomorrows long after I am gone.

Don’t let mastering the middle splits seem like a daunting task. This Middle Splits Stretch Guide is here to help. Although it may seem more challenging than a front split, it only requires consistency and patience. This highly coveted hip-opening stretch takes time and effort to achieve, but your daily practice will pay off.

To perform the middle split, also known as a center split, you must spread both legs as wide and parallel to the ground as possible. Ensure your ankles, knees, and hips are lined up to form a 180-degree angle.

The key to a successful middle split is external hip rotation. Start with hip-opening stretches and watch your progress as you practice consistently. Don’t rush the stretch and never force it before properly warming up. Take your time and stretch with patience and ease.

I started mid twenties in Austria. I met the town mayor and head of police all barefoot and naked in the sauna.
Still can’t recognize them with clothes haha 😂

When I first started my movement journey I was only 9 months.  My brother kept tripping over me so I stood up and walked away. I have never stopped moving since. 

Between 1 and 10 I nearly drowned twice and had a fear of the water. At age 10 my brother's swimming coach asked my mum why I did not swim?  

Mum said what happened and the coach told me to get in the water and try to swim. So I swam about 25m and then I stopped. She said good job and I will start swimming with her now. So I did. 

I became a state swimmer through lots of hard work. We use to train about 4-5kms a session 3 to 5 days a week as well as teach swimming to those younger than us. In high school around year 7 or 8 I tried out for water polo. I loved it so much it became my main sport and I ended up playing nationally. I was a left handed which was advantageous as people did not expect it and I was fast because of my endurance and swimming background. 

However a few years late I quit because they kept judging me by my size instead of my skills. It was my first memory of where I realised the world doesn't see us by us or what we can actually do. The world and others see us by what they want to see or assume or untruths that have been told. In waterpolo they believed you had to be a bigger statued person to hold your own. However I shot many goals and always won the swim up to the ball and also kept up in the pool. It made me also understand life is unfair but I will not let that stop me. People will judge and assume but you do not have to own that judgment or their opinions. Live your life.  

In the background I had started running and practiced a lot. I used to run up to 80km a week and ended up competing internationally at the pan pacific games in 2000 in 3000m.  Sports to me have always been a wild ride as I've never been natural and always done the hard work.  When I finished school I had to go out into the real world so I quit running as I could not afford to do it and not work. It was a hard decision. I dreamed of becoming an olympic athlete or famous athlete but that is life we all have to make hard choices.

When I first started running in primary school I was pigeon toed, knock knee, always had the stitch and apparently my elbows swung out.   Being a natural does not determine if you will go places. For me it is the world you do when nobody is watching.

When I started yoga at 30 I had no gymnastic or dance background, I just had the ability to work.  Now 11 years later the skills I have are just because of 11 years of work. I am not someone special or exceptionally gifted. I have to work and raise a family like anyone else but I am determined and work for what I have. I think in a world of instant gratification people underestimate hard work. At 40 I see many people say I cant do this anymore because of my age. Or I hear I am getting old. I do not want this to be a limitation my age. I want it to be a gift to be here and work for what I have. I do not want to be defined I want to be a person who lives and makes things happen. I hope as I do I also inspire others to do the same. When I talk about doing the work I am not talking about the grind either. I am talking about how good it feels to do something the world or you didn't think you could.  How good it fees to be showing up and creating changes and making possibilities when we are limited as it is, so we can create our own freedom.

Honestly I never thought I would be here on social media sharing these skills. 11 years ago I could barely get out of bed. My mental health was so bad and splits and handstands were non existence. I did not think a little girl that could barely read or write would write a book and even with the continued spelling and grammar issues learn another language. But here I am. In a world that says now or nothing, instant or no patience, perfect or not good enough. Just do this.... be you and work for the life you deserve.

Now I look back and see how far I have come and the one piece of information I can give anyone who wants to achieve is this: There are a minimum number of failures you need to go through before you achieve any kind of success. It doesn't matter how much you learn or practice. If you aren't failing, trying again and building in the real world, you are delaying the process.

Failing is a gift and the more you fail the more you learn and develop skills.

Everything is hard in some way. It’s hard to be in the wrong relationship. It’s hard to be in the right one. It’s hard to be broke and miserable, it’s hard to achieve your dreams. It’s hard to be stuck in the middle, not really feeling anything at all. Everything is hard, but you choose your hard. You choose what’s worth it. You don’t choose whether or not you’ll suffer, but you do choose what you want to suffer for.
