♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Izumo no Okuni Okuni (ε‡Ίι›²ι˜Ώε›½, Izumo no..

♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Izumo no Okuni Okuni (ε‡Ίι›²ι˜Ώε›½, Izumo no Okuni, born c. 1578; died c. 1613) was a Japanese shrine maiden who is believed to have invented the theatrical art form of kabuki. She is thought to have begun performing her new art style of "kabuki" (lit., "the art of singing and dancing") theatre in the dry riverbed of the Kamo River in Kyoto. Okuni's troupe quickly gained immense popularity, and were known for their performers, who were often lower-class women Okuni had recruited to act in her all-female theatre group. Few concrete details are known about her life; born near Izumo Province, Okuni worked as a miko (shrine maiden) for several years at the Izumo-taisha (the Grand Shrine of Izumo) until gaining popularity for her dramatised dance performances, which onlookers gave the name of kabuki. Okuni continued to perform kabuki with her troupe until her retirement and disappearance sometime around 1610. She is believed to have died sometime around 1613. Born c. 1578, Okuni grew up in the vicinity of the Izumo shrine, where her father, Nakamura Sanemon, worked as a blacksmith, and where several other family members served. Eventually Okuni joined as a miko (shrine maiden), where she was known for her skill in dancing and acting, as well as her beauty. As it was a custom of the time to send priests, miko and others to solicit contributions for the shrine, she was sent to Kyoto to perform sacred dances and songs. It was during her performances in Kyoto that she also became known for her performances of nembutsu odori (or nembutsu dance) in honor of the Amida Buddha. Though this dance traces its origins to KΕ«ya, a 10th-century evangelist of Pure Land Buddhism, by Okuni's time it had become a largely secular folk dance, and her particular adaptation tended to be known for its sultriness and sexual innuendo. Other popular themes for Okuni's acts included humorous skits about lover's trysts at various public establishments and meetings between men and prostitutes. Between these and other dances and acts, she garnered much attention and began to draw large crowds wherever she performed. Eventually she was summoned to return to the shrine, a call she ignored, though she continued to send money back. Around 1603, Okuni began performing on the dry riverbed of the Shijōgawara (Fourth Street Dry Riverbed) of the Kamo River and at Kitano Shrine. Okuni also performed for the ladies of the Imperial court. Gathering up the female outcasts and misfits of the region, particularly those involved in prost itution, Okuni gave them direction, teaching them acting, dancing and singing skills in order to form her troupe. Several theories exist as to the etymology of the word kabuki, one being that it is derived from those who, oddly dressed and swaggering on the street, had been dubbed 'kabukimono' (from kabuku, "to lean in a certain direction", and mono, "people"). Another possible origin is 'katamuki', which means "slanted" or "strongly-inclined." In either case, others labelled Okuni's troupe performances "kabuki" due to their eccentricity and social daring. The earliest performances of kabuki were dancing and song with no significant plot, often disdained as overly sexual and cacophonous, but equally lauded as colourful and beautiful. Okuni's troupe was exclusively female. Thus, she required her actresses to play both male and female roles. As her troupe gained fame, she was emulated by many others, particularly brothels, which offered such shows to amuse wealthy clients, as well as to gain β€˜prostitutes’ who had marketable acting and singing skills. This new style of exclusively female troupes became known by the alternative names of "shibai" and "onnakabuki", (from onna, the Japanese word for "woman" or "girl") and "Okuni kabuki". One of Okuni's most popular performances featured the romantic character of Nagoya Sansaburō, a real-life samurai who had died in 1603. Onstage, Okuni's beautiful voice lured Sansaburō's spirit back into the world of the living to dance with her. Despite historical speculation about the possible links between Okuni and Sansaburō, it remains uncertain whether the pair had ever been lovers during his lifetime, or whether she had simply incorporated him into her storytelling. Okuni retired around 1610, and after that time she disappeared. In 1629, due to outcry for moral reform and concern about fights breaking out between men trying to win the attention of the actresses, shōgun Tokugawa Iemitsu forbade women from performing in kabuki. They were quickly replaced by you ng men as actors and "actresses", though this was soon banned as well due to some of the same issues of prosti tution and corruption of morals, restricting the performances to those by older men, which is a standing practice in the official theatres even today. **** Disclaimer: It is important to remember that some of the women you will read about during Feminist Friday will have done unsavory, bad, and sometimes even terrible or unforgivable things during their lives. I have decided to include any women found to be problematic rather than disregard them entirely because I believe that it would be a disservice to do otherwise. The different women discussed here have lives that span over thousands of years during which life on Earth and humanity in general changed immensely and unrecognizably. Some of their values will be outdated. Some will be laughable. Some offensive. However, I implore you to try and look at these women as individual members of a world made to tame, shame, shackle, subjugate, abuse, and kill them. Do not ignore the horrors of the past. You are free to dislike them (I dislike many!) but recognize their achievements within the context of their time and place in the world.

"Wh1pping his ass and testicles" 1080p HD "The whole eunuch thing doesn't sound like such a bad idea anymore, does it?" In this clip, Goddess Serena has a forked tongued wh1p which she quickly notices can be used to whip both testicles at the exact same time, with each tongue slicing against each ball. With expert precision and accuracy, the slave is put through agony for Goddess Serena's clear amusement. In a perfectly timed manner, Goddess Serena whips both ass cheeks individually and then both testicles at the same time without a beat or a moment's hesitation. The slave screams in pain as she smiles and laughs in delight at the fun game she has created for herself.

♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz DoΓ±a InΓ©s ..

♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz DoΓ±a InΓ©s de Asbaje y RamΓrez de Santillana, better known as Sor Juana InΓ©s de la Cruz (12 November 1648 – 17 April 1695) was a Mexican writer, philosopher, composer and poet of the Baroque period, and Hieronymite nun. Her contributions to the Spanish Golden Age gained her the nicknames of "The Tenth Muse" or "The Phoenix of America"; historian Stuart Murray calls her a flame that rose from the ashes of "religious authoritarianism". Sor Juana lived during Mexico's colonial period, making her a contributor both to early Spanish literature as well as to the broader literature of the Spanish Golden Age. Beginning her studies at a yo ung age, Sor Juana was fluent in Latin and also wrote in Nahuatl and became known for her philosophy in her teens. Sor Juana educated herself in her own library, which was mostly inherited from her grandfather. After joining a nunnery in 1667, Sor Juana began writing poetry and prose dealing with such topics as love, environmentalism, feminism, and religion. She turned her nun's quarters into a salon, visited by New Spain's female intellectual elite, including DoΓ±a Eleonora del Carreto, Marchioness of Mancera, and DoΓ±a Maria Luisa Gonzaga, Countess of Paredes de Nava, both Vicereines of the New Spain, amongst others. Her criticism of misogyny and the hypocrisy of men led to her condemnation by the Bishop of Puebla, and in 1694 she was for ced to sell her collection of books and focus on charity towards the poor. She died the next year, having caught the plague while treating her sisters. After she had faded from academic discourse for hundreds of years, Nobel Prize winner Octavio Paz re-established Sor Juana's importance in modern times. Scholars now interpret Sor Juana as a protofeminist, and she is the subject of vibrant discourse about themes such as colonialism, education rights, women's religious authority, and writing as examples of feminist advocacy. One of her poems, written in 1680s, β€œHombres necios que acusΓ‘is” (β€œYou Foolish Men”), expresses her disappointment in the hypocrisy of the relations between men and women in New Spain. In the first, stanza Juana cries foul that men blame women for the faults that male-dominated society has taught them: Hombres necios que acusΓ‘is a la mujer sin razΓ³n, sin ver que sois la ocasiΓ³n de lo mismo que culpΓ‘is: You foolish men who lay the guilt on women, not seeing you’re the cause of the very thing you blame The 5th stanza drives this point home with a pointed mythical metaphor: QuerΓ©is, con presunciΓ³n necia, hallar a la que buscΓ‘is, para pretendida, Thais, y en la posesiΓ³n, Lucrecia With foolish arrogance you hope to find a Thais in her you court, but a Lucretia when you’ve possessed her. Thais was a sex worker who accompanied Alexander the Great on many of his campaigns, and Lucretia was a Roman noblewoman who committed suicide after she was ra ped to preserve her family’s honour. Essentially, she is accusing the men of New Spain of wanting the colonial version of the β€œ lady on the street and a freak in the bed” double standard, an impossible standard in any era. Juana’s criticism was incredibly radical for its time, especially from a nun who was supposed to concern herself only with spiritual matters. And while Juana did receive criticism from the church for her radical ideologies, she was also praised for her candidness and commitment to women’s advocacy. Juana was an exceptional woman who mastered philosophical theories and multiple languages, and who used her considerable talents to advocate for women’s rights. By giving our students the opportunity to analyze her work, we provide them with the opportunity to learn about the life of a woman, a nun, and a scholar in New Spain, and give them an insider’s first-hand account of what it was like to live in that community. And poems like this demonstrate that the issues highlighted by modern feminist movements, like #MeToo, have been going on for centuries. ***** Disclaimer: It is important to remember that some of the women you will read about during Feminist Friday will have done unsavory, bad, and sometimes even terrible or unforgivable things during their lives. ♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Olympe de Gouges Olympe de Gouges (..

♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Olympe de Gouges Olympe de Gouges (1748 – 1793) was born Marie Gouze, in southern France. As a you ng woman of 16, she was forc ed into an arranged marriage by her family. When her husband died a year later, she chose not to remarry. Instead, she moved to Paris where she reinvented herself and adopted the name β€˜Olympe de Gouges’. Here she began formulating her ideas and campaigning for a more equal society. Olympe de Gouges believed women should have the same rights as men – a revolutionary idea at the time. She wrote prolifically about this, most famously in her Declaration of the Rights of Woman and the Female Citizen (1791). Here she bravely drew attention to the fact that, while the French Revolution called for liberty and freedom, this did not apply to women. De Gouges also wrote plays – performed by her own theatre company – calling for an end to slavery and raising awareness of social issues. Ultimately, her views and active campaigns were deemed a threat to the ideals of the Revolutionary government and she was arrested, during what became known as the Reign of Terror. Refusing to stay quiet, de Gouges wrote two new works while she was imprisoned, that her friends secretly published. In October 1793 she was finally tried, condemned to death and executed at the guillotine, all on the same day. ***** Disclaimer: It is important to remember that some of the women you will read about during Feminist Friday will have done unsavory, bad, and sometimes even terrible or unforgivable things during their lives. "Locktober Ball Punishment" On the 21st day of Locktober, I brought my two chaste slaves into the dungeon for some attention. Although their cocks were locked away safely, both slaves balls remain accessible, leaving plenty for me to play with and turn my sadism towards. With their balls tied together, they have to cope with the heft of the weights I add to them until they are even more swollen and even sorer than they were to begin with, culminating in all of the weights I own swinging from them for 21 seconds! Once done with the weights, each slave is sentenced to 21 strikes to their balls with an implement of my choice - so painful that both almost throw up!

♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Madeleine de Puisieux Madeleine de P..

♀️ Feminist Friday ♀️ Madeleine de Puisieux Madeleine de Puisieux, was born in Paris on 28 November 1720. Although not much is known about her early life, Puisieux worked to become a published author. In 1745, she achieved her goal and with the help of her friend, Denis Diderot she published one of her first works entitled Les CaractΓ¨res sometime in the year 1750. In the year 1750, Madeleine de Puisieux met and fell in love with Philippe-Florent de Puisieux, a lawyer French ambassador to Switzerland and a well-known lawyer at the Paris parliament, eventually marrying him. Madeleine de Puisieux had a longtime relationship with fellow philosopher, art critic, Denis Diderot from 1746 to 1755. Although never married, she was the kept woman to Diderot during their time together. In that time, they worked together on some of Puisieux's works, as he helped get the works published. The relationship was not exclusive and Diderot also had relationships with Sophie Volland, and Mme de Maux. Throughout her relationships, Puisieux had no children. On 12 April 1798, Madeleine de Puisieux died in her hometown in Paris at the age of 77 years old. Puisieux published one of her most famous works in 1750 entitled, La Femme n'est pas infΓ©rieure Γ  l'homme ("Woman is not inferior to man"). This was a publication of a previously anonymous piece where Puisieux translated and brought up topics in the book about the equality of sexes] She based these questions found in the 1405 publication, La CitΓ© des dames (The City of ladies) by Christine de Pisan. The following year, it was republished under the title Le Triomphe des dames (The Triumph of the ladies.) It is sometimes debated whether Puisieux's future husband Philippe-Florent de Puisieux (1713–1772) helped Puisieux with the translations used in the final publication. She sought opportunities to help the younger generation of girls by publishing advice books for girls. This made her name a well-known one among the population as Puisieux wanted to encourage girls to know about gender equality with feminism as her platform of teaching. With the wide known success of her works, Puisieux was recognized by Louis XV. After the death of Louis XV in 1774, she settled down with her husband and was awarded a state pension in 1795. **** Disclaimer: It is important to remember that some of the women you will read about during Feminist Friday will have done unsavory, bad, and sometimes even terrible or unforgivable things during their lives.
